Default Ask a christan

If you were a great artist and someone commissioned you to paint a picture adam and eve in the garden of eden, would you paint them with a belly button or without one? assuming of course that they were both within plain sight.

I would paint them as early hominids, with belly buttons.

I would paint them with their extended family, including their grandchildren, pointedly noting the absence of daughters-in-law.

If they were created, like the "good book" said, then they wouldn't have a need for a belly button, but if god created man in his own image, like the "good book" said, then that means that god has a belly button. So, who was his/her mother.

Bill, if you read the silly myth, in Genesis 3 there are physical changes handed out to humans (death, childbirth mechanicals) and the snake (bye-bye, legs). The earth is also cursed, and much changes there.

Therefore, the physical form of A & E in the mythical garden may have been quite different, in the context of the myth.

This nonsense was brought to you by the expenditure of shitloads of money on theological studies. If you want to make it in any way worthwhile, buy me a whisky.

Bill, I think he's a full brother to Santa, the Easter Bunny, "I'll only put it in a little way", and "The cheque's in the mail".

Given the above, I don't reckon anybody's going to own up to being the parents.

Alternative Answer: Mary - ask a cafflick!

My niece was created the usual way, and she doesn't have a belly button. Looks can be deceiving.

Hi Mjt Your niece would be an exception to the rule, how many others do you know without belly buttons?
