Why couldn't it have been March?
We had hoped to hold it around the same time as the 2012 GAC, but when we approached the MCEC to book the venue, back in May 2016, that's the "best" date we could get!

I figured it was a venue 'thing' when I read the email. My heart sunk a little when I saw the dates because busiest travel season plus busiest time at work. But I have no excuse to grumble... my little problems are nothing compared to the headache of putting the darn thing on!

What, indeed, is an atheist? He is one who destroys delusions which are harmful to humanity in order to lead men back to nature, to reality, to reason. He is a thinker who, having reflected on the nature of matter, its energy, properties and ways of acting, has no need of idealised powers or imaginary intelligences to explain the phenomena of the universe and the operations of nature. Baron d'Holbach

_____

If we go back to the beginnings of things, we shall always find that ignorance and fear created the gods; that imagination, rapture and deception embellished them; that weakness worships them; that custom spares them; and that tyranny favours them in order to profit from the blindness of men. Baron d'Holbach

Any planned sessions / events / speakers around the topic of Street Epistemology ?

It just seems that has grown rapidly over the last 2 years and is a promising methodology
[ complementary to calling out religious BS forcefully with logical arguments ]

Am particularly a fan of Magnobosco SE talks on youtube : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZKPFdV0Nco

Sorry if discussed elsewhere, I haven't been on this forum in a looong time .. pls share links if you know of anyone doing SE in Melbourne.

gord.
