Default Canaanites survived Biblical 'slaughter', ancient DNA shows

ABC Linketh

Quote:
Alan Cooper of the Australian Centre for Ancient DNA said the study was hard evidence that God's biblical command, as described in the Book of Deuteronomy, to "totally destroy" the Canaanites, was not carried out.

"Clearly the Bible's wrong in the sense of the Canaanites being smited, they were clearly not smit too well," Professor Cooper, who was not involved in the research, said.
So much more at linky

Joshua, what would you like to say about that link you blind-dumped?

Just dumping links is so crap.

The Associated Press once gave William Butler Yeats credit for writing Hebrews. The New York Times said that Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus into heaven." Quote from above link.

I read the link, thank you.

Would you say that the Israelites didn't totally respect their sky-fairy then?

I've read the link, too, joshuarosemn.

Talk about ludicrous claims: The authour of the link assumes that there was a historical conquest of the "promised land" by the Israelites in the manner described in the Book of Joshua.

Do you think that such a historical conquest occurred?

That's a far greater claim than that some journalists have misunderstood a 2700 year old goat headers' fairy story, don't you agree?
