... and lots of biblicly authentic steel beams and concrete.

I doubt the "wooden pegs" claim and all, more like wooden caps hiding steel screws I'll warrant.
WTF!?! Firstly the ancients did not have such metallic tools, although nails were used by, I recall it being the Romans. Screws were not invented until much later anyway.

But we are missing the BIG PICTURE here, lads. the Ark is fictitious - It did not exist. Then why am I buying into the debate over the mechanics of a fictitious structure. (Hangs head in shame and proceeds to Phantacie Ireland.)

What a wonderful educational video for spotting logical fallacies.

Gotta look at the bright side

Why ask for evidence of a person who has none? If you ask Richard Dawkins for the evidence that he has which supports the "scientific" theories in his God Delusion, he will just look at you stupid. Ken Ham is a holy fool, i.e., stupid to use a Blaise Pascal term.

You beg the question. Does the parson you are asking for evidence have none? If you don't ask them for evidence you do not offer them the chance to show that your expectation of their lack of evidence is incorrect.

Burden of proof is the obligation on somebody presenting a claim to provide evidence to support its truth (a warrant). Once evidence has been presented, it is up to any opposing "side" to show the evidence presented is not adequate. If claims were accepted without warrants, then every claim could simultaneously be claimed to be true.

History isn't written by the victors. It's written by the people with the time machines.

Why is not a question, it is an accusation.

No, it's an adverb.

Of course he would because it's not a scientific book, offers no scientific theories, and doesn't purport to.

This underscores that you haven't read the book.

The difference, of course, being that someone proposing an entity must-needs have some form of evidence for it if it's to be anything other than a figment of their imagination.

Creationist have not had a place in mainstream debate since the Scopes Monkey or even the Great Debate with Darwin so it is best to relegate them to the comedy arena. Like having intelligent debates between the dental fraturnity and the believers of the tooth fairy.
