Sail around it, in the same direction until you get to the point you left from. That’d prove it’s not a wall wouldn’t it? Btw, I know next to naught about things nautical!

Ah. No.

Because in their view, you wouldn't be sailing around the outside of it, but the inside.

If you see what I mean.

Yeah but...if you go in a leftward direction to form a circle, for example, that which is on your left must be contained within your circle! That which is on the right could be a wall. Or of course they just get on a fucking plane, fly from Hobart to Argentinia.

Think about it this way:

You think we're taking the red path. They think we're taking the yellow.

Don't bother trying to argue the point, unless you really truly feel you have far too much time and need to piss it away on something. Actual evidence and reason means nothing to these people.

Oh right, oh ok, circles don’t prove anything. Nup, not enough time for me to deal with this. Maybe shoot them into space would work, do a few orbits.

When I was a fundagelical, using a few carefully-chosen passages from opposite ends of the bible, I came up with a theologically-supportable hypothesis that optics and spatial perception, at least (and probably all the laws of physics, by extension of another fun hypothesis) were altered when The Big Cheese cursed the Earth in Genesis 3.

So, of course, the results of original sin would make the perfectly flat world LOOK spherical.

Oh my gawd...what a loopy rabbit hole!

As soon as god ‘tricks us with science’ it’s pretty much the end of the conversation.

I am not a stranger to that particular mind-fuckery.
