I was British Army through the 90's and into the 2000's and they had a church in every garrison but in all honesty the 'Padre' was mostly just tolerated and only wheeled out for the usual ceremonial occasions. As a lifelong atheist I wouldn't have stood for being pushed towards any form of religion outside listening to them say a prayer at a rememberance day parade or an in-service funeral.

I remember when I joined back in the 90s, Kapooka (basic training) had an amazing church up on the hill which had a shared foyer for three churches, Catholic, Anglican, Other (at the time was operated by a uniting minister). There was a pastoral care component of the training and you had to choose one. If you were non-religious or a different religion you had to choose “other”. I always thought this was odd and non inclusive, but at the time the vast majority of new soldiers at least claimed to be some brand of Christian anyway.A couple of years ago, I visited Holsworthy and saw all the new facilities there and once again, a big church built on the taxpayer dime! By this stage I was more militantly atheist and was pissed that a church was such a dominant feature of the newly rebuilt base.

Ergo there is no tenable concept of a "just-war" or righteous indignation. Ridicule religion everyday before breakfast or zealots will have you kowtowing to their imaginary friend.Since Copernicus 1543 we have know our little earth is not the centre of the universe, since 1995 thousand of exoplanets have been found orbiting other suns, since Darwin and Wallace 1859 we have known there is no such thing as made in God's image, we are all related to other mammals and in 1953 DNA discovery confirmed all evolutionary relationships. Also in 1953 Stanley Miller showed that simple chemicals can lead to self replicating cells.

I reckon the last thing you need if you have just had your legs blown off is some guy telling you it was Gods way but he loves you.

There’s always been atheists in foxholes

What will replace the psychological dependency you've learned from birth? What will happen when you take the training wheels off and suddenly you are free?

Really sad. Just more greed, not happy with taking money from their "followers". Bury this mob quickly.

Mass hysteria is contagious

are they extending this to any of its immoral oppressive and unscrupulous followers?

Pay-up, suckers!

Out pm is in a cult

The brainwashing industry is quite lucrative it seems.

Our Prime Minister's involvement in this church/cult is a national embarrassment.

Feel sorry for all the ugly/old/fat followers that have to sit at the back.

These people are so brainwashed. Cults making a fortune out of extreme vulnerability 😈😈

An evil church!

They have a property arm developing apartments?!?

That's going to hurt the next time the plate gets handed around.

Maybe they are waiting for the pastors golden shower Girl in the front obviously wants to be first

Now tell me this is not a cult. It's simply a money maker taking advantage of stupid people.

All bottles of the gene pool

Contagious mental illness.

Repulsive

Haha, they are forgiven, nothing to see here

I'm sure there will be more if you dig deeper.

i cant believe how stupid religous people are.just look at thier stupid faces....

Interesting photo. How do they become rapturous morons?

Colour me shocked.

Only two?

I hope a class action by unit owners brings swillpong to ruins. :-)
