Dear Senators,
The Atheist Foundation of Australia Inc finds disturbing, as an understatement; information that government funded abortion counselling, in some cases, is excluding termination as an option. It appears that fundamentalist pro-life groups are deceiving those referred to them. If termination is not an option provided, the question as to why the government is wasting money on these groups is in need of answering.
We urge a full and proper investigation on this matter and if our assessment is accurate, corrective legislation must be enacted immediately, to curb this fraudulent behaviour.
The prevalence of personal ‘faith’ driven procedures such as this, have no place in a country striving to attain and retain the democratic ideal.
