I have listened to it twice now - trying to work out what I think. There is a lot to digest and unpack.

I am tipping it is all bullshit. There are a lot of people like John B out there, brilliant and beautiful but deeply flawed.

There's a sequence in the final episode, this is not a spoiler, where Brian is talking to a clock collector who is showing him a clock John B had made for him. He pauses before he opens the device to expose the workings, saying something like, 'wait until you see this...' Next you hear Brian gasp. The sheer beauty of it seems to take his breath away and then as the collector starts talking about the piece he starts weeping.

That set me off.

I think its the beauty in the bullshit that is so moving.
